glock 36 vs glock 30

Glock 36 Vs Glock 30 - The first time I picked up a Glock 30 a few years ago, I noticed it felt like I was carrying a potato. A touch filled my hand and it seemed to me

Compared to other guns I've held in my hands. Not bad, just stronger than most. I must have enjoyed it because it was only a few months before I bought it.

Glock 36 Vs Glock 30

Full disclosure: Most of the guns I review are new to me and my review is a first hand review. Not so with this one. I had the original G30 before the 30S came out and in 2014 I sold my G30 to get a G30S model. It is lighter and thinner than the original model and is a gun stone; .45 caliber pistol in a compact frame that, in my opinion, just feels right. Aside from being chambered in .45 ACP, the Glock 30S is probably my favorite handgun of all time.

The first and last reason to consider a Glock pistol of any kind is simplicity and reliability. There is no simpler and more reliable gun in the world than the Glock. After all, the G30S is purpose-built for concealed carry - it's a compact version of the Glock 21 pistol. So you can consider carrying the G30S for easy concealment (it's slightly smaller than the G19).

You may want to consider the G30S because of the .45 chambering, as many people prefer to have a few large rounds instead of smaller rounds in their waist. If you have larger hands, you may want to consider the 30S because of the grip strength. It's a double barrel .45 so it's got arm-filling meat. Despite the large chamber, two large bullets, and beastly handling, the G30S is a light handgun at 30 ounces loaded.

The Glock 30S is a slightly smaller version of the G30. The most important factors are the width of the slide (1" vs. 1.12") and the weight of the slide assembly (it's 3.5 ounces lighter than the G30 slide assembly) and with the SF frame the 30S has a slightly shorter trigger.. and all the radii in grip compared to the regular G30.

, but has the saving grace of being easy to maneuver with a Dremmel sander for proper fit and comfort. I believe that every Glock pistol frame needs some adjustment and stability and that is how my 30S is set up. So for me, my Glock 30S fits like a glove.

I expect some will find the G30S grip better than other Glock models because of the extra girth. I do that and on my medium I find that the scope and reach of the trigger is fine.

The .45 ACP round has less impact than the 9mm, and each .45 shot from the compact, polymer frame will provide some pop. However, the G30S is not aggressive or unruly. The slightly larger than normal grip and softer plastic make the gun feel smoother. I have no problem shooting Bill with an accurate bore as fast as I can put my finger on this gun and, if your control is right, this is an easy gun to control. As with comfort issues, the frame can be adjusted so they can buy a thumb drive to aid the ride.

One thing I can point out is that while the 10-round magazine allows the gun to fit comfortably in anyone's hand, the 9-round flush magazine leaves a hole small enough that a pink person can't buy it properly. . For those with large hands, pink is second to none. The output is not as compact as, say, the G26, but the fact that this is a .45 may mean that some people may want to be fully loaded with 10-round magazines to help counter the threat.

I'm used to carrying a Glock 19 all day and find the G30S conceals better than the G19. This is mainly due to the short handling. The slide is the same width as the G19, but the frame is slightly wider, but such and subtle differences are absent. Overall, this is an easy pistol to conceal; and is slightly heavier than the G19. The G30S is a little lighter on the belt if you carry a 9-round magazine.

Lots of magazines, nice looking and 10 rounds, allow 11 in your gun. This ability is not bad at all, especially considering the compact package and the length of the handle. No complaints here.

Well, it's a Glock. The Glock 30S is built like any other Glock pistol and the frame is Gen 3. The recoil spring is of the double spring type. Like most Glock pistols, the G30S comes with a polymer frame with a U-cut on the rear. You will want to replace this stock mold with a metal mold.

The 30S slide has a rounded nose at the muzzle port, but unlike any other model. The slide-lock handles and drop-down tabs are ultra-low profile, offering easy controls and a sleek, business-friendly exterior.

Despite its simplicity and reliability, customization is a Glock's best friend. Almost every manufacturer in the world makes replacement parts and accessories for Glock pistols and if you are thinking of replacing or adding accessories you will have many options to choose from.

Note, however, that unlike Glock pistols, the G30S does not have a magazine release. If you're left-handed, the G30S requires you to use the magazine release as is. Not a big deal, but I get away with almost every other Glock model.

I picked up a Glock 30S a few years ago and it was my everyday gun for about a year. I carried the gun inside my waistband at the 5 o'clock position with a 9 round flush magazine in the gun and 2 10 round cups in the OWB mag pouch on my left side near the 8 o'clock position. The weapon was very well concealed under a simple T-shirt, thanks to the unique design of the G30S and the flash magazine. Even with a full-size magazine, the G30S has a shorter grip than the G19 (which I carry daily), so it's concealed no matter where you carry it.

Fully loaded, the G30S is less than 0.4 ounces heavier than the fully loaded G19, at 30.36 ounces. That's not very light, but for a double .45 rifle, that's pretty impressive. I find that as long as you have a good belt, it's easy to forget you're wearing it. And this is not a fancy picture, but a fact based on what happened a long time ago.

Glock 36 Vs Glock 30

The Glock 30S is an easily concealed, compact .45 with good power vs. size and weight. It is as reliable a gun as has ever been made, and is easy to adjust; with a variety of accessories and cases available.

Some with small hands may find the handle too large. The polymer look just begs to be replaced with metal. The price may be a bit high for this gun.

The Glock 30S is one of the best Glock pistols out there, but it still needs a few tweaks to make it a better pistol.

The Glock 30S may not be for everyone, but everyone should try it. If you like the .45 ACP round and don't care about its reputation, I think the G30S offers the right combination of size, weight, power, reliability and concealability.
